Sacramento, CAState Senator Mike McGuire is pleased to announce that the Capital Fellows Program is now open for Northern California applicants.  McGuire currently has a Capital Fellow in his office, Chris Nielsen, who is from Novato, CA.

The program features a select group of graduate-level students from across the country who participate in a ten month program, working daily on issues critical to the State’s legislative, executive, and judicial branches.

Sacramento, CA – Newly elected North Coast Senator Mike McGuire attended Edmond G. Brown, Jr’s Inaugural Address this morning, as he was sworn in as Governor of California for an unprecedented fourth term.  

“I believe the Governor’s address struck just the right tone of fiscal responsibility and the need to invest in our state and its people,” said Senator McGuire. “I am grateful for the Governor’s vision and leadership.”

Sacramento, CA – The President of the California State Senate, Kevin de Leon, announced that Senator Mike McGuire will join the Senate’s leadership team.

In just his fourth week on the job, it was announced that McGuire was selected to become vice-chair of the Senate Democratic Caucus and Chair of both the Human Services Committee and the Joint Committee on Fisheries and Aquaculture.

Marin County — Senator Mike McGuire is spending the day in Marin County tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 23, meeting with students, hard-working volunteers, and members of the Board of Supervisors, as well as business and environmental leaders from the area.

"Meeting with people in Marin is a top priority for me,” said McGuire

McGuire will start the day at Tomales High School with students, teachers and school officials to discuss agriculture education and its impacts on our youth.
