SACRAMENTO – The Senate Rules Committee and Senate President pro Tempore Mike McGuire (D-North Coast) recently appointed a broad and bipartisan group of 17 hard-working Senators to serve on a wide variety of state boards and commissions.

“These appointments are some of the most critical in state service and these dedicated members of the Senate are prepared to help tackle some of the most complex issues facing California,” Pro Tem McGuire said. “Without a doubt this hard-working and bipartisan group of Senators will deliver for the people of this great state and the communities we all proudly represent.”                         

The appointments include:

• Senator Jesse Arreguín, San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission; and Alzheimer's Disease and Related Conditions Advisory Committee
• Senator Josh Becker, California Broadband Council
• Senator Catherine Blakespear, Wildlife Conservation Board; California Cultural and Historical Endowment Board; and the Mobilehome Park Inspection Program Task Force
• Senator Christopher Cabaldon, Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy Governing Board; and Milton Marks Little Hoover Commission on California State Government Organization and Economy
• Senator Steven Choi, State Allocation Board
• Senator Dave Cortese, School Building Finance Committee
• Senator Megan Dahle, Sierra Nevada Conservancy Governing Board
• Senator Tim Grayson, California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission
• Senator John Laird, Wildlife Conservation Board
• Senator Jerry McNerney, Delta Protection Commission; and Sierra Nevada Conservancy Governing Board
